What classes or sports do you coach?
I’m a very proud gymnastics coach, but you might also spot me helping out at sports camps or as part of the Wellness team.
What made you want to become a coach?
I wanted to make a difference in gymnastics by bringing a more modern approach to coaching. I’m passionate about helping children build confidence, become more independent and celebrate their achievements.
What’s your favourite thing about being a coach?
I love seeing the smiles on children’s faces – and their parents’ – when they achieve something new. Whether it’s a skill they’ve been working on for weeks or months, or a small milestone that might seem simple to someone else, every achievement is huge in their own world. Seeing their progress makes my world a happier place too!
Some of my favourite moments include seeing a child achieve their very first two-foot take-off (jump) in a Parent and Toddler class or master their first drop-back to bridge in our 5+ classes.
Tell us something unique about yourself!
Gymnastics takes up around 80% of my time, both in and out of work! With the other 20%, I love going on long walks with my three dogs and enjoying a nice coffee. As a family, we’re also into off-road bikes, quads and side-by-sides. And when we fancy something a little different, you might find us enjoying a round of golf at Xcite Bathgate or practising at the Polkemmet driving range!
